Immunizations for children
We just received an update from this farm-friendly direct coffee region. It appears our efforts are paying off in that a number of programs have been implemented and signs of improving the lives of the people in the region are significant.
We wanted to share a few of those programs with you:
- The medical clinic has logged over 10,000 patient visits since it opened one year ago.
- The nurses have vaccinated 3000 children.
- There have been 7 wells installed for safe drinking water at strategic locations (schools, village centers).

The next big project will be working on adult literacy for women and funding for girls’ school fees. If you would like to contribute a reading book, we will be collecting these and getting them on the container to Papua New Guinea in the fall. Please drop the book at Portland Roasting next time you are in the neighborhood.
