Coffee and Chocolate: A Match Made in Heaven

For me the greatest aspect of my job in sales is the opportunity to meet interesting, unique and enthusiastic people who also enjoy great coffee. Recently I was lucky enough to meet Melissa Berry (That’s Doctor Melissa Berry to you). Not only is she a Naturopathic Physician, she is also the owner and head chocolatier at Missionary Chocolates, a local company that makes award-winning vegan truffles! Melissa’s vision is to fund a Naturopathic Healing center through the sales of her truffles. Never have I met anyone more enthusiastic about chocolate and its ability to heal.

We are thrilled to report that Melissa has chosen to source our coffee for her espresso truffles, and we are going to take part in an exciting event together – The Bean To Buzz coffee and chocolate pairing event on Thursday Feb 4, from 5.30-7:30pm at The Ecotrust Building.  Portland Roasting and Missionary Chocolates will pair specific coffee and truffles together and discuss direct trade with those attending.

February 4 is just around the corner from Valentines Day, and I reckon Missionary Chocolates and Portland Roasting are a match made in heaven.
