The proceeds from last year’s inaugural Walk for Water are being put to use this week as Mark travels to Kenya to see the site locations for water pumps being constructed by Water for All, the beneficiary of our event. The Fun Pump, a merry-go-round that doubles as a water pump brings potable water to the Shamoni primary and secondary schools. It is estimated that 2,500 people will benefit from the water. A Sun Pump, a solar-powered water pump, is being built next to the Imbiakolo primary school and will also provide water for a local health center, nearby households and a police and government post. It is estimated that 1,000 people will gain access to water via this pump. Please stay tuned for photos and to see a video montage go to www.waterforall.org.
